Conservation Treatments

Rossi Conservation is a textile conservation studio based in Dunbar, Scotland. I am currently offering art conservation services for small and medium sized textiles. This includes surface cleaning, wet cleaning, stitched supports, storage, preventative conservation recommendations, and other treatments.

Mounting and Exhibitions

I have extensive experience mounting two dimensional textiles, three dimensional objects, and costumes for major museums such as the V&A Dundee and National Museums Scotland as well as smaller institutions. I can work within your time and budget constraints to design and create a mount for your objects that will have visual impact and safely support them.

Education

I also provide lectures and workshops for small heritage instutions, history groups, and textile artists on textile conservation. Past presentations have included information on the agents of deterioration, ways to safely mount textiles, and an introduction to the field textile conservation. I would also be happy to create a custom lesson to meet your organisation’s needs.
